Ayurvedic Consultations include an assessment of imbalances from the Ayurvedic perspective, determination of the birth constitution, lifestyle and diet recommendations, as well as herb and nutritional supplement recommendation based on your specific imbalances and body type. Initial 1-hour consultation: $160. Return 30-minute consultation: $80.

Ayurvedic Counseling utilizes all the modalities of Ayurveda - nutrition, herbs, Jyotish, panchakarma in order to apply ancient wisdom to modern mental and emotional challenges. Ayurvedic counseling not only allows the physical body to be balanced and the emotional challenges to be addressed, but it also utilizes techniques of consciousness to move the process to a faster resolution. Approaching emotional challenges from the level of the body, mind, and spirit makes Ayurvedic Counseling a truly holistic approach.  Cost is $120 per one-hour session or 6 sessions for $500.

2nd Opinion - Internal Medicine Consultation:  This hour-long consultation is aimed at patients who are seeking a second opinion on their current allopathic care or who are wishing to explore whether alternative therapies exist to address their current health challenges.  Includes complete history and physical. Fee: $160.

Acupuncture: Acupuncture treatments are preceded by a one-hour initial consultation to assess whether acupuncture is an appropriate modality for treatment and to review what to expect during treatments. It also involves a reassessment of medical treatment and diagnosis for a given problem and a general review of medical history. Treatments following the initial evaluation are half-hour in length. Initial Evaluation: $160.  Acupuncture Treatment: $80

Policies

1. I do not take any insurance at this time. Most insurance companies would consider it fraudulent for me to bill them for Ayurvedic or alternative medical services under the guise of an Internal Medicine consultation. For second opinions on Internal Medicine issues, I will offer a receipt with insurance codes that you can submit to your carrier to see if they will reimburse you for the consultation fee. 

2. I do, however, offer a sliding scale for those who would require this consideration.  (Sliding Scale: 25% off for those whose annual family gross income is less than $35,000 and 50% off for those whose family income is less than $25,000.)

3. I carry most of the herbs I recommend and sell them slightly above wholesale (enough to cover shipping and stocking costs, but not enough to provide any financial incentive for me to prescribe herbs or supplements.)  Herb costs are not included in the consultation fees.

4. My office is not equipped to handle walk-in or urgent care patients.

5. I do not see children, as my training in is adult medicine. I will consult with adolescents, but only after interviewing the parent(s).
